Our love for the fashion brand Marchesa is well-documented {here, here and here}.  And if there's one wedding dress style from the collection that our team is obsessed with - it's their Eva Wedding Gown.  Can we talk about those elegant satin tiered organza pleats?

A good friend of Third Coast Bride purchased the Eva Gown this spring at Ultimate Bride, our favorite Chicago destination for wedding gowns. Sadly, she has to part with the dress for unforseen circumstances.  Our heart goes out to her as she loves the dress, but wants/needs it to go to a deserving home.

If you are looking for an amazing wedding dress and love this Marchesa style, we highly encourage you to consider bidding on it here.  It's 100% authentic, never worn with tags and an incredible price.  If we were getting married, we would snap it up in a second!

Our Latest Obsession: Chevron

Photo Courtesy of NEXT EXIT Photography

Our latest obsession? Chevron. We mean everthing - rugs, table runners, handbags, dresses, artwork, home accessories, lighting and everything in between. Are you a bride-to-be thinking about cracking open a case of chevron?  If so, there are certain rules that must be followed:

Moderation is key: The less chevron you use, the more impact it'll make
Stick to One or Two Chevron Colors: Again, less is more!
Conversation Pieces: Use chevron in your "wow" pieces in the wedding

Vera Wang's 2012 Collection for David's Bridal

One of the best parts of our job? Getting emails from brands with previews of their new collections. One such brand is Vera Wang. Here is a sneak peek of some of our favorite styles from her Spring 2012 collection for David's Bridal.  What's your favorite?

The Swan Princess

We posted about Bella's wedding dress from the new Twilight movie a few days ago, but did you know that you can also get her spectacular shoes?  Manolo Blahnik created the "Swan pumps" that stepped out of the silver screen, and now you can own the same pair.

The satin pumps feature crystal-beaded vine appliques and retail for $1,295.  Available in white, black and our favorite - cranberry {they run small so order at least a half size up}.  The problem?  They are only available for pre-order and expect to ship on 4/12/2011.  Purchase them online at Neiman Marcus here.

Louboutin Love

French designer {and one of our favorite luxury shoe brands} Christian Louboutin celebrated the brands' 20th anniversary yesterday.  His powerfully feminine shoes have become must-haves for stylish women everywhere.  While most of us covet his red-lacquered soles, they also retail upwards of $10,000+.

Looking for a little Louboutin love without the hefty price tag?  The brand recently released a book featuring that evokes the artistry and theatricality of Louboutin's shoe designs as well as offering insights into his influences.  Retails for $150 and available at Neiman Marcus here.

Bella Swan Wedding Dress from Twilight

Photos Courtesy of Alfred Angelo

Have you seen Twilight Breaking Dawn Part I?  If not, please forgive the spoiler but we think it's worth it!  Bella's wedding dress was designed by the ever-so-talented Carolina Herrera for the movie. The long sleeves and button details are the perfect mix of sophistication and seduction. The Twilight wedding dress is now available for purchase for brides thanks to Alfred Angelo. The Wall Street Journal reports:

"Back in May, bridal retailer Alfred Angelo began working with Summit Entertainment to replicate the wedding dress in time for the film's November premiere, under a confidentiality agreement that designer Michael Shettel jokes was "signed in blood."

The company, which used undisclosed code names for the Twilight dress project, limited its circle of principals involved to only about four people, the designer said. Mr. Shettel was also invited to the Los Angeles movie set to view the original dress. The "Bella" dress shipped secretly to stores, with photos and inventory unveiled today."

Bella's Bridal Gown retails for $799.00 and can be purchased here. We think there's no measure of time long enough you'll love this dress. But you'll start with forever!
